If you cant access raw milk: We recommend the following milk for cheese making:
Lewis Road Creamery Organic Non Homogenised Milkis as close to the farm gate as you can get at a supermarket. Simply pasteurised and bottled, it’s milk the way it should be.
Housed in a retro-inspired 100 percent recyclable milk bottle through which you can see what you are drinking and how much is left in the bottle. Available in 1.5L and 750ml sizes.
Lewis Road Creamery milks and creams are packed for us at Green Valley Dairy who operate under AsureQuality certificate number 1019.
Meadowfresh Farmhouse Milk for cheese making in the city if you cannot obtain raw milk. It is found at most supermarkets having a purple coloured label and a silver top. It is full cream milk that has been pastuerized but has not been homogenized. We suggest you use it within a day or so of buying it as after several days the cream forms a thick layer on the top of the milk and ideally you would want to ensure that the cream is part of the milk and not separate to maximize your yield.
